Cracked Tooth Productions

Client: School Project

To go along with my currently upcoming senior show, Cracked Tooth Productions started as a generative identity design assignment from my Graphic Design 4: Brand Identity class in the fall of 2022. This assignment fell under a “ Generative Identity Design” project where we were allowed to use any program of our choosing. Cracked Tooth Productions is a mock music studio from Louisville, Kentucky. The twenty-four displayed below are just a portion of the details. The base color selected corresponds with the gemstone color of each month in the year. The gradient color is based on day or night and the angle the gradient flows is dependent on the time of day. If the base color is a sapphire blue, begins at where “ 8 o’clock” would be, and goes from blue to black that means the tooth represents an evening in September at 8 o’clock. The intention of use is these are designs personalized and given to each employee to put next to their title on company business cards, apparel, and website. Designs created in Illustrator.

Reflection on the Piece: This project is successful because it incorporated different ways to incorporate a large color pallet onto a single brand and fell under the “ Generative Identity” requirement. The main outline and details within the tooth are all the same so the company branding is still identifiable.
